Emily was born in Toronto, Canada, and emigrated to Hong Kong when she was seven years old. She was raised in a British Colony and educational system.  She has been traveling continuously ever since she was an infant, therefore making her able to quickly adapt to new environments. Her independent lifestyle has allowed her to find enjoyment in consistently aiming to learn about new things and to view our world in multiple perspectives. She enjoys solving problems and analyzing situations, and also strongly believes that knowledge is lead through active curiosity and initiative.

Emily is also an aspiring Linguist, and is able to speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Conversational Japanese and Basic Korean. She majored in Communications, Culture and Information Technology at the University of Toronto, which explored the multiple disciplines within media, including; human relations, advertising, marketing, broadcasting, audio and video production, semiotics as well as communication theories. The study of human interactions and behaviours, as well as current affairs, had also interested her into pursuing a double minor in Psychology and Geography. In secondary school, besides the mandatory subjects, she focused on Fashion & Textiles Product Design, Art, English Language & Literature, Business, Mandarin and Psychology.

She had previously participated in performing for a professional Andrew Lloyd Webbertheatrical musical. She is passionate about performance and had continuously engaged in various choirs ever since a young age.

Emily also enjoys watching a variety of both educational and leisure shows including, home improvement & design shows as well as forensic detective dramas
